The MAXX-D DTX is the elite "high-leverage" specialist of the MAXX-D dump line. While it shares the heavy-duty 8" I-beam chassis of the DJX, it replaces the scissor hoist with a front-mounted telescopic cylinder.

This is the trailer you buy if you consistently dump "sticky" loads (like wet clay) or heavy, uneven debris. The telescopic design provides the maximum possible mechanical advantage, pushing the bed from the very front to achieve a steeper dump angle with significantly less stress on the frame.

CORE FEATURES OF THE MAXX-D DTX

Direct-Push Telescopic Cylinder

The standout feature is the 3-stage (or optional 4-stage) telescopic hoist mounted at the front of the bed.

  • The Benefit: By pushing from the front of the box rather than the middle (like a scissor lift), the cylinder has massive leverage. It requires less hydraulic pressure to lift the same weight, resulting in a smoother, more powerful dump and a steeper angle that ensures even the stickiest materials slide right out.

8" x 15lb I-Beam Frame & Tongue

The DTX is built on a heavy-duty I-beam foundation that is significantly more rigid than the 10lb beams used by many competitors.

  • The Benefit: Because the telescoping hoist concentrates the lifting force at the front of the frame and the rear hinges, the frame must be incredibly strong to prevent "bowing." This 15lb I-beam ensures the trailer stays perfectly aligned through thousands of dump cycles.

3' Standard High Sides with Tuff Sides™ Top Rail

Unlike the 2' sides on many standard dumps, the DTX usually comes standard with 3-foot (36") sides.

  • The Benefit: Extra volume without needing to add wood "greedy boards." The top rail is a massive 3" closed-tube cap that wraps down the side, making the bed extremely resistant to the impact of falling debris or the "claps" of a skid steer bucket.

12" On-Center Floor Crossmembers

The 3" channel crossmembers are placed on 12-inch centers.

  • The Benefit: This is "equipment grade" spacing. It prevents the 10-gauge (or optional 7-gauge) floor from denting or "washboarding" when you load heavy concentrated loads like a mini-excavator or drop heavy boulders into the bed.

Wireless Remote & AGM Battery Upgrade

The DTX often comes standard with a wireless remote system and a heavy-duty Group 31 AGM battery.

  • The Benefit: You can operate the dump from the safety of your truck cab or while standing back to monitor the load. The AGM battery provides superior cold-cranking amps and a longer life cycle than standard lead-acid batteries, ensuring the hoist never leaves you stranded.

Integrated NOCO® 5-Amp Charger

Every DTX features a built-in NOCO battery charger with an exterior-mounted plug.

The Benefit: Simply plug an extension cord into the side of the toolbox overnight. It keeps your battery topped off and conditioned, which is essential for telescopic hoists that can draw significant power during long, high-angle lifts.

THE DTX SPEC LIST
  • GVWR: 14,000 lbs to 17,500 lbs (depending on axle choice).

  • Axles: Dual 7k or 8k Dexter® Electric Brake Axles.

  • Gate: 3-Way Combo Gate (Barn / Spreader / Tailgate).

  • Storage: Full-width, internally split toolbox (hoses, pump, and battery are separated from your chains/tools).

  • Towing: Adjustable 2-5/16" coupler or Pintle eye options.

WHY THE DTX OVER THE DJX?
  • The "Stick" Factor: If you dump clay, sod, or wet mulch, the telescopic hoist’s steeper angle and front-push design are superior to the scissor lift.

  • Reduced Maintenance: Telescopic cylinders are simpler systems with fewer moving parts (pivot points) than a scissor hoist, often leading to lower long-term maintenance costs in sandy or gritty environments.

  • Frame Longevity: Because the hoist pushes from the front, it puts less "mid-frame" stress on the trailer during the initial break-away of a heavy load.
