8.5 x 40 Maxx-D TDX 30K Tilt Trailer – Ready To Work!
15K Axles, HDSS (Hutch) Suspension, Hydraulic Disc Brakes, Hydraulic Jack(s), Winch Plate
The MAXX-D TDX is the absolute "Apex Predator" of the deckover tilt world. The TDX is a true Tandem Dual Deckover Tilt.
It is designed for the "Heavy-Haul" professional who needs a full 102" wide flat deck without fenders in the way, capable of carrying payloads that exceed 20,000 lbs. It is commonly used for hauling shipping containers, dual-wheel tractors, or large paving equipment.
CORE FEATURES OF THE 2026 MAXX-D TDXPowered Scissor Hoist System (6" x 21")
Unlike gravity tilts, the TDX uses a massive industrial-grade scissor hoist to power the bed up and down.
-
The Benefit: It provides total mechanical control. Whether you are loading a 20,000 lb. bulldozer or a 20ft shipping container, the scissor hoist provides a stable, balanced lift that prevents the frame from "twisting" during the transition.
12" x 19lb (or 22lb) I-Beam Frame with Torque Tube
The TDX is built on a massive I-beam backbone, reinforced with a structural torque tube running the length of the frame.
-
The Benefit: A torque tube is a massive pipe welded into the frame that prevents "frame oscillation" or twisting while on the highway. This is critical for 30-foot to 40-foot trailers that are carrying heavy, top-heavy loads.
Pierced-Beam Low-Pro Design
The 3" channel crossmembers are "pierced" through the main I-beam rather than sitting on top of it.
-
The Benefit: It lowers the deck height by approximately 4.5 inches. In a deckover, every inch counts—this lower center of gravity makes the trailer much more stable at highway speeds and provides a shallower 12° loading angle.
12" On-Center Floor Crossmembers
Standard on high-spec TDX models, the crossmembers are spaced just 12 inches apart.
-
The Benefit: This is "Extreme Duty" spec. It is designed to handle the massive point-pressure of steel tracks or the high-PSI tires of heavy forklifts without the floor (wood or steel) sagging or "washboarding."
Tandem Dual Axles (Up to 30,000 lb. GVWR)
The TDX utilizes a "Dual" setup (4 tires per axle) with 10K, 12K, or 15K axles.
-
The Benefit: Redundancy and Capacity. Having 8 tires on the ground provides incredible stability and weight distribution. If you blow one tire, you still have three others on that side to get you safely to the shoulder.
-
GVWR: 22,500 lbs (Standard) to 30,000 lbs (Optional).
-
Lengths: 26' all the way up to 40' (Full Bed Tilt).
-
Axles: 2-10K, 12K, or 15K Dexter® Electric/Hydraulic Brake Axles.
-
Suspension: HDSS (Heavy Duty Step System) Adjustable Suspension.
-
Tires: ST235/80R16 Duals (Standard) or 17.5" H-Rated 18-Ply (Recommended).
-
Dovetail: Knife-edge rear for a smooth, "no-bump" transition.
-
Connectivity: Wireless remote for the hoist and jacks included.
-
The Container Factor: Because of the full-width deck and high-capacity winch options, the TDX is the only choice for the shipping container delivery industry.
The MAXX-D TDX is the premier choice for Shipping Container Haulers, Heavy Construction Crews, and Agricultural Dealers. It is the ultimate solution for those who need a full-width, high-capacity tilting platform that can handle the biggest loads in the bumper-pull or gooseneck category.
